COURSE OUTLINE:
Day 1:
• Introduction to After Effects: What is the purpose of After Effects & how these effects add to the end results.
• Navigating Adobe After Effects: Learn about the interface and the various tools in After Effects.
• Planning to shoot with VFX in mind: How to plan the scenes where special effects have to be added.
• Camera settings: The correct camera settings to shoot on greenscreen.
• Background selection: Selecting a potential background image or footage.
• Lighting a greenscreen: How to correctly light up a greenscreen without spilling colors onto your subjects.
• Shooting on greenscreen: The correct way to light up your subject to match any chosen replacement background
• Keying: Etching out the green matte to create a transparent Alpha Layer.
• Refining your key: Methods to clean up the quality of your keying.
Day 2:
• Creating Atmospheric Fluids (eg: smoke): How to blend stock smoke footage or create your own smoke effects.
• Background tracking: How to track and move your background in relation to your subject.
• Object tracking for screen replacement: Learn how to track a device screen and replace the screen image.
• Text tracking: Placing text elements on a tracked surface or anchor.
• Motion graphics: Adding motion graphics to enhance your scene.
• Adding in new backgrounds: Taking the previous greenscreen footage and adding in the new background.
• Blending the layers together so that everything looks realistic.
• Adding in additional elements: Foreground elements, objects.
• Exporting your video.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
